Gleneagles likes to call its Wee Course as fun to play, and they certainly aren't wrong. It is a light alternative to the bigger three courses for both beginners and experts and recalls the original nine-hole course, constructed in 1928 by the head greenkeeper, George Alexander, and staff from the hotel.

Should you be staying in the plush hotel or having a go on the PGA Centenary, the home of the Diageo Championship, the Wee Course should not be left off your list. As they say, good things come in small packages.
