Invergordon has its fair share of enjoyable and challenging holes, yet it has not always been so lucky. The waters of the Cromarty Firth resulted in major destruction of its boundaries requiring renovation work in the 1950s, leading to a nine-hole course built thereafter.

The course was later extended with many new holes mixing with the old. The result is a gently sloping lush parkland layout with a selection of great challenges.

With trees to the left, a pond to the right which encroaches onto the fairway and trees behind the green, the eighth won't be forgotten in a hurry.
