Golf in Lanzarote

Lanzarote is one of the seven islands that emerge from the Atlantic Ocean to form the archipel called the Canary Islands. It is one of the most beautiful and certainly takes a high position in the popularity stakes.

The volcanic landscape that will make you think you are on the moon mixes with the crystal and pure waters letting you see the incomparable sunsets. All in all, it's a quite exquisite setting for a round of golf.

There is only one golf course on the island and it is placed at the foot of an old volcano with wonderful views across the ocean. Golf Costa Teguise was designed by John Harris in 1978 and is surrounded by leafy palm trees, extravagant cactus and volcanic lava, a unique setting for 18 holes.

The club is within short distance of a number of hotels and various tour operators (see the side of this page) will be able to get you a good deal as regards accommodation and green fees.

The area of Costa Teguise boasts sandy beaches and exciting nightlife. Accommodation is also easy to come by thanks to a range of luxury hotels, apartments and holiday bungalows to choose from. Just advise the tour operators on the side of this page what your golfing party would prefer.

Golf in Lanzarote is becoming increasingly popular as more and more come to enjoy the warm climate and stunning surroundings. In fact, a number of new developments are in the pipeline in the south of the island near the resort of Playa Blanca. The village is becoming one of the island's most talked about tourist spots, as many choose to spend their lazy days baking in the sunshine while enjoying views of the mountains and the islands of Lobos and Fuerteventura.

As news of these developments filter through you will be the first to know.
