Portobello is a very gentle course that is not taxing on strength for the older golfer. The par-32 course comprises nine holes of genuine character, each a pleasure to play.

There are four par threes and five far fours all of which are very tricky and if the wind is fresh it makes them all that more difficult.

The club has recently completely reconstructed the first hole in order to make a dogleg to the right and various other improvements have been made in recent years to enhance what is already a great little gem.
